The Personnel Committee shall make recommendations where appropriate to the National Board to ensure that the most qualified person is selected to fill each vacant position.
While priority will be given to current employees in filling vacant positions in the higher cadre, new applicants will be considered for all vacancies where a qualified candidate is not available within the Organisation.
There will be collection of formal application and Curriculum Vitae, after which the candidates shortlisted shall be invited for interview where the NOIC Application Form will be filled and submitted. After the interview, the best candidate is selected and appointed.
The following are the categories of positions in which employees are placed subject to the terms of employment.
The Organization reserves the right to employ any person in accordance with its needs. Every employee having been engaged shall be on probation for a period not exceeding six months.
However, if the Management is not satisfied with an employee’s performance at the end of the probation, it may extend the probation for another term not exceeding three months. Termination of appointment during such extension will require (2) two weeks notice or equivalent basic pay in lieu. During probation, either party may terminate the employment in accordance with the notice of termination out in the letter of engagement.

Personal files of individual employees on engagement will be maintained by the Personnel Department Showing full details of employees’ curriculum vitae on the prescribed application form.
It is the employee’s responsibility to ensure that changes in his/her personal data are communicated to the organization in writing as they occur e.g. occurrence like marriage, childbirth, change of name, change of residential address etc., should be communicated to the Human Resources Department in writing. Giving of false information may lead to termination of appointment.
Before engagement all employees will be medically examined by the Organization‘s medical Officer or a nominated Doctor approved by the organization. Also all employees are subject to subsequent medical examinations as and when requested by the organization.
The organization shall provide identity cards that must be carried and displayed by employees at all times in the organization’s premises.
Should any employee lose or carelessly handle his/her identity card, a new one will be issued by the Human Resources Department. However, such employee will be expected to supply a current passport photograph, sworn affidavit and pay to the organization the replacement cost in force from time to time.
